I guess I’d say “author” might not be quite the right term. What I really did was to offer a way for them to talk, without “talking.” What they shared in those books, beginning in the back of my own personal journal, was so heart-touching. I’m honored to be the one who gave them a way to let out their feelings, during those horrific times of so much unknown.
I am the Treasure-Keeper… & Book-Maker, as I made their words available, by publishing this. My job was transcribing all the handwriting, so it would read smoothly, like a regular book. But I really wanted the “real souls” to be shared, so I redacted the names, & printed the actual entries.
I hope that this offers healing where it can, and thoughts and feelings you can connect with, or that possibly lend different insight.
My name is Paula Rae Gibson. I live in a beautiful lakeside community in Washington, with my incredible daughter, Chantara, and four-legged son… aka my German Shepherd Dog, Kenai.
We are always looking for new adventures, and love exploring all that the world has to offer!
I got my dream job, as a flight attendant with World Airways, the Spring just before the tragic events of 9/11. The flying we did was unique, and took me to some very unique destinations. I’m grateful to say I’ve been to 31 countries. In a majority of those, I had the opportunity to really explore, meet the people, and experience once-in-a-lifetime adventures. I also lived in Germany for almost four years, working as a tour guide for the USO, as well as in the chaotic NCO club annex, known as Fred’s, on Ramstein Air Force Base.
